1. THE STORY PROJECT @ DALSTON ARCOLA
One evening. Ten tales. A million possibilities. The Story Project’s signature event returns to Dalston’s Arcola theatre. Showcasing 10 brand new narratives created by 10 different writers, directors and a full cast. This year’s theme is Rage, Romance & Resolution. ood story…

2. LASER PARTY
A celebration of lasers in all their glory! The evening will kick-off with a Laser Tea Ceremony by Bompas & Parr and end with an audio-visual onslaught from cult promoters The Lazer Cave.
In between, Dr Arthur Turrell will explain how lasers are helping scientists recreate the forces that power our sun- potentially providing green unlimited green energy here on earth. PHD student Lia Han will discuss lasers to cool objects and quantum state.

3. BORED TO BOARD
A hipster board game party! With the chance to have a crack at making your own board games..

4. LONDON SHORT FILM FESTIVAL
The UK’s biggest celebration of short films opens tonight! (Friday). The festival has a youth culture strand, with a programme of shorts about peer pressure among urban youths and a collection of shorts about teenage girls making their way into adulthood.

5. ME, BLONDIE & THE ADVENT OF PUNK
This exhibition of iconic photographs that captures Blondie’s punk beginnings in downtown NYC 70s/80s – with Warhol, Bowie and The Ramones present in candid shots.

6. LONDON MIME FESTIVAL
New circus, extreme dance, physical imagery, fairground com media and exotic Japanese puppetry are just some of the exciting and wordless media through which Mime Festival’s artists tell their stories. World premiere of Knights Of The Invisible looks like one of the highlights..
