Here’s your weekly co. mailer, featuring a host of handpicked recommendations from the left-field of London’s arts and culture world.
Lock down your aerials…
1. INDEPENDENT LABEL MARKET
There’s nothing better than buying directly from the makers, which is why we’re thrilled to see that the Independent Label Market is back this weekend.
This super special market allows fans to buy straight from the hands of the very people who released those beautiful records. This year’s market features exclusives, signed records, rarities and test pressings from David Lynch, Hot Since 82, Lee Scrath Perry and Wild Nothing.
The London Brewers Market will be there alongside the record stalls, for beers (from Pilsner to Porters) and the chance to learn about the best brews from London’s thriving craft beer scene.

2. STYLE ME IN SECONDS
The Unity team have always been passionate about reducing clothes waste – that’s why we’re highlighting the brilliant Style Me In Seconds events.
They offer expert guidance from professionals who have dressed the likes of Victoria Beckham, Emilie Sande and Professor Green. The Style Me in Seconds team are also offering free style makeovers using charity shop pieces to demonstrate the unique looks that can be found in the treasure troves that are the UK’s charity shops.
This is the ideal chance to get a new look for the Spring weather, or just experimenting in how to add a unique twist to your outfits.

3. WALK THE ISLE OF DOGS
This new walking tour from the Museum of London will take people out to explore one of our capital’s most historic neighbourhoods – the Isle of Dogs.
Walkers will discover how Isambard Kingdom Brunel shaped the neighbourhood, the impact of Millwall FC, and learn some of the stories of generations of dockers.
This is great chance to explore an area of our capital that will satisfy the most culturally curious of minds.

4. A RIGHT ROYAL KNEES UP
A truly unique event is coming to our capital: an interactive experience set in the world of a wedding reception in a traditional East End boozer.
Set around 1969, the event promises to be overflowing with food, drink and live music. The show will be populated by gangsters, wideboys and gossips as the story unfolds around the audience.
The producers are unveiling a market as part of the experience, featuring food vendors and the chance to buy wedding presents “that fell of the back of a lorry”.
But the pub is where the action is. There will be musical hall classics on the piano, and the beginnings of an amazing story that unfolds on the dancefloor.

5. LONDON WHISKY WEEKENDER
At Unity, we love sampling new whisky flavours – so it’s great to see that the London Whisky Weekender is returning to the heart of old Industrial London for its third year.
And the festival of whisky is going to be bigger and better than ever before – with more whisky, more food to eat and a guarantee of more fun too!
Each ticket includes a tasting glass, water, a festival guide and ALL the whiskies sampled in the main hall.
Another reason to visit Oval Space in Bethnal Green, surely one of East London’s very best events spaces.

6. START YOUR ENGINES! UNITY MARIO KART TOURNAMENT
Next week, Unity is hosting a special East v West Super Mario Kart tournament. It’s part of the first ever London Games Festival Fringe.
The event, on Thursday evening, will crown London’s ultimate Mario Kart champion in a race to the finish line. It’s taking place at Unity’s events space along with our friends from Blueprint Film.
There will be food, drinks, and complimentary beers thanks to the team at Brooklyn Brewery.
So, what are you waiting for? There’s still time to register to come play, and prove your Super Mario Kart skills!
7. UNITY SHORTLISTED FOR NINE BRAND REPUBLIC DIGITAL AWARDS
We’re delighted to have been nominated for an amazing nine Brand Republic Digital Awards this year, the most for any agency!
Our work has been shortlisted across the Social, Content Marketing, Engagement, Financial Services, and Retail categories. With the awards having a digital specialism, we’re up against some tough competition for our campaigns for Marks & Spencer, Direct Line, PizzaExpress, and vInspired.
It’s fantastic to get industry recognition for both ourselves and our clients and we’re looking forward to the awards night.
