One of London’s best Christmas craft pop-ups is returning to Unity’s Clerkenwell neighbourhood next week.

The Creative Clerkenwell pop-up is curated by the super-talented Charlene Lam, who hand-picks a beautiful collection of great gifts, design delights and high-quality London souviniers from UK designers and makers.

There’s a launch party on Thursday December 17th from 6pm where all are welcome for festive drinks!

The shop will sell a selection of the very best indie titles from around the world. It will be the perfect place to go to be inspired and support a worthwhile part of our creative industries.

It will host a series of events, talks and much more – all celebrating the talented people who make independent magazines happen.

An eye-opening new show at the Serena Morton gallery takes people back to the golden age of disco, to New York, Studio 54 and far beyond.

Bill Bernstein’s remarkable photographs take the audience through late-dive gay haunts, roller-discos and so much more. We can make clear connections to London nightlife today, but the exhibition really shows a whirlwind of bad behaviour, proving we might have something more to learn from our hard-partying nightlife originators.

One of the joys of these photographs is the hidden side of the scene: wasted revellers and their romance amidst the broken bottles, paparazzi fighting for the ideal shot and hookers plying their trade by the front door.

WHERE? 343 and 345 Ladbroke Grove, London
WHEN? Until January 23rd

This festive season, Unity are doing something completely different to the typical Christmas card. We have created a world-first; a wonderful walk-in Christmas card window, called #aChristmasTrail

The installation allows Unity’s staff, friends, neighbours and visitors to create their very own Christmas memories inside a super-creative life-sized physical yuletide card. The installation is Instagram-ready, ideal for sharing and spreading good Christmas wishes.

#aChristmasTrail tells the heartwarming story of the bespectacled and devoted Little Helper; a cheeky, charming and cherubic pipe-smoking delivery boy from the North Pole. The anorak-clad Little Helper has spent 42-years faithfully delivering Christmas cards and presents all around the world, powered by his tiny steel-framed reindeer-flavoured racing bike. But this winter, his jam jar glasses steamed-up and he unfortunately took a wrong turn.

We are sharing the best #aChristmasTrail images on social media throughout December.

Flux brings a new energy to the UK’s contemporary arts scene, by bringing a new creative dynamism to the way that art is both exhibited and experienced.

The four-day exhibition is a collection of works from emerging talent from across art and music, from dynamic painters and performance artists to sculptures and photographers.

Flux is produced alongside a team of the brightest RCA students to ensure the exhibition features fresh new talent, international, and breaks new ground. It takes place over more than 6,000 sq ft of gallery space.

WHERE? Royal College of Art, Kensington Gore, London

We were honoured to be awarded some of the biggest prizes at last week’s Drum Network Awards at The Emirates Stadium.

Unity won the Agency Grand Prix, the prize for agency of the year; we won Social Media Campaign/Strategy; Charity Campaign/Strategy for our work on #SwingTheVote for vInspired; we were awarded the Content Marketing Campaign of the Year; and scooped awards for the London Marketing Business of the year and PR consultancy of the year.

In total, we won a magnificent seven prizes in a fantastic evening. A great end to an award-packed year for Unity – it’s always a wonderful thing when the agency recognises our hard work.
