Throughout the past year, the all-star Unity team have been hard at work on a vInspired campaign to get young people registered to vote – #SwingTheVote.

And we’re delighted to say that it’s been a huge success! Previously the campaign has featured a crowd-sourced film directed by our campaign spokesman Rick Edwards, a world-first Twitter-powered street art battle based on young people’s political passion points, and a major festival tour.

All of our creative work was backed-up by a hard-working press office. This week, the hard work of our campaign team really paid-off with some fantastic results back from the Electoral Commission. Around 70% of the UK’s young people are now registered to vote, the highest percentage since the 1960s, and an upswing of 14% since the last election.

Ahead of next week’s election, the team were doing media relations and broader storytelling around this campaign, with the campaign featuring in major pieces on Sky News, The Times, The Independent, The Huffington Post and beyond.
